Why I Do What I Do

If you had asked me years ago what I wanted to do with my career, I would have told you I wanted to help people.

That's what led me to become a Physician Assistant.

Every day, I have the privilege of caring for patients, helping them recover from injuries, relieve pain, and get back to doing the things they love. I truly love what I do.

But over the years, I started noticing something.

Many of the health challenges I was seeing didn't begin with an injury. They began years earlier—with chronic stress, poor sleep, loss of muscle, confusing nutrition advice, and habits that simply weren't sustainable. Women were doing everything they thought they were supposed to do, yet they still felt exhausted, frustrated, and like their bodies were working against them.

The hardest part wasn't that they lacked motivation.

It was that they lacked clarity.

No one had ever taken the time to explain how their bodies actually worked.

Then I became a mom.

Like so many women, I found myself trying to balance work, family, and taking care of everyone else before myself. I experienced how easy it is to let your own health slip to the bottom of the list—not because you don't care, but because life is full.

That season changed how I thought about health.

I realized women don't need more guilt, more restriction, or another quick fix.

They need someone to simplify the science, cut through the noise, and help them build habits that actually fit real life.

That's why I created Intentional Wellness.

My mission isn't just to help women lose weight.

It's to help them understand their bodies, build strength, and create lasting health they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Because when you understand why, everything else becomes so much easier.

I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, confident, and capable—not just for today, but for the decades ahead.

If I can help even one woman stop feeling overwhelmed and start feeling empowered, then this work is worth it.
